In terms of their quality, Carbotex seat heating systems are identical to the factory-installed carbon seat heating systems from Gentherm (formerly W.E.T. AG, Odelzhausen). Thousands of Carbotex seat heaters have been installed for more than 10 years by vehicle manufacturers, vehicle importers, PDI centres and leather outfitters in Germany, throughout the EU and outside the EU.
Carbon surface heating elements, as used for the Carbotex seat heating systems, are easy to install, very thin and very flexible. Compared to heating elements with strand technology, they have considerable advantages with simple seat geometries, which predominate in the retrofit area.
The 1-stage heating systems are operated with 100% heating power. In the 2-stage systems there is a heating stage with 25% and one with 100% heating output. The 3-stage systems can be operated with 25%, 50% or 75% heating output, whereby each heating step is automatically preceded by a 2-minute heating phase with 100% heating output. The maximum heating output for 2- and 3-stage heating systems is a maximum of 90 watts.
