Retrofit seat heaters. There are 7 different Carbotex seat heating systems with different heating levels available.
In terms of their quality, Carbotex seat heating systems are the same as the factory-installed carbon seat heating systems from Gentherm (formerly W.E.T. AG, Odelzhausen). The 1-stage heating systems are operated with 100% heating power. The 2-stage systems have a heating stage with 25% and one with 100% heating output. And 3-stage systems can be operated with 25%, 50% or 75% heating output, whereby each heating step is automatically preceded by a 2-minute heating phase with 100% heating output. The maximum heating output for 2- and 3-stage heating systems is a maximum of 90 watts. The 1-stage heating system Carbotex Bike Comfort has a maximum heating power of 16.5 watts and the Carbotex Basic heating system a maximum of 18 watts at 13.8 volts. The actual maximum heating output is usually below the specified values, as this can only be determined after the heating elements have been adapted to the respective seat geometry.
